Comfort Station– Chicago
«Cara Carnal» is collective hypnosis achieved through audio, designed to encourage the audience to externalize their irrationality, in combination with a series of instructions. The underlying premise is the same as always: human beings live constrained between the multiple tensions and demands that the systems of power exert upon them, where the opportunities for self-existence are minimal and miserable.
However, there are times when every system fails. In this performance, it is about opening that gap, going deeply into the unconscious to conquer the true face, an authentic gesture that vindicates our existence and avenges our life. The audience is called to search for their true face and express it, to find their true voice and externalize it, evading the idea that said expression must be beautiful and harmonious.
